El euskera

Basque language is, together with the Spanish, the official language of the Basque Country and Navarre. It is also spoken in southern France, in the region known as Iparralde or French-Basque Country. Its origins are quite uncertain, as it is an isolated language that does not resemble at all any language family in the world. It's the only pre-indo-European language that prevails today in Europe, and is therefore considered the oldest language in Europe.

The lauburu (represented on the bedside tables) means "four heads" in Basque, and is the symbol of the folk Basque culture.

The ikurriña (represented on the table) is the official name of Basque Country's flag. It was designed in 1936 by Luis and Sabino Arana, the founders of the Basque Nationalist Party.

The comb of the wind (represented by the clothes hanger) is the most important work of the Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida. It is located on the beautiful beach of La Concha in San Sebastián.
